I'm successful at communicating intent through the use of graphics and illustration; I also have demonstrated expertise using word processing, spreadsheet, page layout and image editing software.
But, between you and me...
My true passion is thinking of new, exciting and whimsical characters to illustrate. (It's what keeps me up late most evenings.) Combined with innovative graphic design, I truly
feel the sky's the limit!
I take pleasure in drawing personalities who enhance the tale for which they're created: For stories describing someone with an acute sense of smell, my characters might be shown to sport extremely large noses; for fables describing important people, my illustrations might consist of wee folk who are drawn to emphasize greatness... in their small (yet oh-so-proud) physiques.
My work fits best within the literary world of children, but I'm also exploring new avenues through which to meld my drawing abilities with my graphic design skills: Book covers, cookbooks, calendars... you name it, I'll happily give it the old college try!
